Deals with the role of the Vivian family in the economic history of the Swansea area as well as their personal and domestic histories, notably their country house, Singleon Abbey, formerly known as Marino, and, to a lesser extent, its contents, landscape, etc, from their acquisition and remodelling of it in the 1820s by the architect P F Robinson.
