Part of a series 'Derby Porcelain Archive Research Report', Vol 1. Provides transcriptions of documents relating to the Derby Porcelain Factory, in particular focusing on three areas: the 1786 Treaty of Navigation & Commerce between Britain and France and the subsequent increase in competition from French imports; the general European influence on the design and decoration of Derby porcelain; the export of Derby porcelain. Introductory essays include 'The documents and their history'. The transcriptions, which make up by far the largest part of the volume, are organised in chronological order, by year 1786-1796.
