Based on the account book, 1742-69, of Thomas Goldney, 1694-1768, II, a Bristol merchant who was an important partner, 1738-68, in the Coalbrookdale Co and its agent in South West England. Provides details of engine parts supplied by the Coalbrookdale Co to c60 sites in Cornwall, Somerset, Gloucestershire / Bristol, and South Wales, giving a commentary on Goldney's work and schedules of the sites served - largely mines - with descriptions of their engines, etc. An appendix [pp155-7] contains sample extracts from the account book
