Notes:
Memoirs, first published 1830, of Captain Hugh Crow, 1765-1829, of Liverpool. Published by his executors at his request. Reprinted 2007 with an introduction [pp v-xxiv] by John Pinfold, sometime Librarian of Bodleian Library of Commonwealth & African Studies. The memoirs provide a vivid description of life at sea on a slave trader as well as the writer's arguments in defence of the trade.
